Evaporator

Evaporator Replacement

The evaporator exists as the core for the A/C system. It is the component of the cooling system that cools air when it’s blown through. They remove water from the air and use it as it cools then deposit it outside.

Modern day cars hold evaporators inside the dash.  When we begin the diagnosis process, the dashboard does not come out until we know for sure it must be repaired or replaced.

Evaporator Repair

The diagnosis of a leaky evaporator is difficult to determine, especially considering the placement of the evaporator.  Misleading car maintenance providers inform car owners their evaporator is leaking. However, in many instances, the evaporator was in perfect condition.

A clogged evaporator drain is indicated by a musty/mildew smell or water on the floorboard. Causes of clogs in the evaporator case could be the result of foreign matter such as leaves or pollen.  A low labor intensive cleaning corrects this problem in no time.

Our knowledge of the evaporators in Ford, GM, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Jeep, Volvo, Kia, and Hyundai vehicles prevents costly replacement and unnecessary dashboard removal.
